De Volkskrant hired me to explore the possibilities for news publishing in the digital age. Together with the chief digital of this Dutch national newspaper I created several concepts to show the different directions they could take. The main focus was to show that less is more and that people are willing to pay for news when done right.
One of the biggest challenges was guarding the simplicity of the design and creating a calm reading experience. I created around 12 concepts for the Volkskrant, but this was my favorite design by far becasue it provided a clean and calm experience to its readers.
