The past 10 years I did many design projects, enjoying everything from product strategy to coding HTML/CSS, but since I'm a psychologist and designer, the User Experience field—where design and psychology meet—is what I enjoy most. I'm obsessed with finding the most simple solution for design problems because I believe simplicity is the key to great user experiences. Below are some of my favorite projects I worked on.

MyTaxi asked me to help them improve the user experience of their already very successful iPhone app. After assessing the current app we decided that the app needed a simpler and more focussed approach; this meant hard decisions had to be made to leave things out. De Volkskrant hired me to explore the possibilities for news publishing in the digital age. Together with the chief digital of this Dutch national newspaper I created several concepts to show the different directions they could take. The main focus was to show that less is more and that people are willing to pay for news when done right.

With our digital agency Bread & Pepper we gave ourselves a carte-blanche to find the easiest way to schedule meetups with friends. In two months we went from initial concept to launch with this little date picker app. View more ›
